What's Up Wednesday

Wednesday, August 31, 2016

Things have been quiet lately here on the blog and I have really been missing writing. I'm just at that point in my mama life where I'm enjoying chasing him around the house all day and when Blake gets home I just want to spend every second with him and then when it's time for bed my head hits that pillow and I'm gone.

What better way to catch up with everyone than a little link up with Shay today for What's up Wednesday! Here's what we've been up to :)

What we're eating this week...
My mama's food!! We have been spoiled this past week with her yummy food. I made my homemade chicken enchiladas last night and they were a hit! Tonight in sure we will eat out after church. And I wish I could say I have a plan for Thursday-Sunday but...I don't ;)
What I'm reminiscing about...
Blake and I's 2 year anniversary is Sunday and so I have all the feels right now! I'm more in love with him now than I was then and I didn't think that would ever be possible. My heart might burst if I keep talking about it so here's some sweet pics from my favorite day :)

What I'm loving...
Blake and I recently got an espresso machine and I have at least 2 (large) cups a day. I'm obsessed and slightly addicted!

What we've been up to...
We have busy per-usual! Lot's of traveling this month. Blake did his first big solo project at work and it just so happened to be in Dallas so we have spent a lot of time there this month. Lots of family time and time in the car! Judah is officially crawling and pulling up on everything and eating everything you put in front of him! He's changing so much so fast :(

Blake and I have also got to enjoy a few baby-free date nights! Those are so refreshing and nice.

What I'm dreading...
Unpacking when we get back home later today...haha!

What I'm working on...
Blake and I recently gave up Instagram/Facebook. We are really working on focusing on each other more and Judah and our time with God. All the time we spend on social media a day is sickening and we really needed a break! So I'll be a little more absent on the Instagram front but I'll still be posting some on Snapchat so follow me there (ElishaKelch) if you want to keep up with us :)

What I'm excited about...
FALL!! September to me means fall and I'm so excited to get out the fall decor and for cooler temps. Give me all the pumpkin everything and that crisp fall air!

What I'm watching/reading...
I've been reading Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst and I'm l o v i n g it! I've also started doing the She Reads Truth studies again. I'm going through Mark study right now and it's so good.

As for watching, we are obsessed with The Office right now. Don't judge ;)

What I'm listening to...
The new Vertical Church Band album is so good! I think it's called Frontiers. I am also loving the new Housefires album! Yes and Amen, Build My Life and Seek First are my favorites from that album!

What I'm wearing...
My new favorite shirt that I snagged during the NSale. I wear it all the time. It's SO soft and goes with everything. I can't wait to pair it with a sweater and booties this fall! It's on sale and you can find it here!

I've also been wearing my LuLaRoe leggings and I'm obsessed. They really are buttery soft.

What I'm doing this weekend...
Sunday Blake and I celebrate 2 years of being married and I have no idea what we are doing! haha. Come back to the blog Monday to read all about it :)

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Leaves falling, pumpkin spice lattes, etc. I may have a problem!

What else is new...
I think I've covered it all.

Bonus question
What is your favorite summer to fall transitional piece in your closet?
I think I can narrow it down to 3 things...a scarf, booties and a black and white striped shirt. You can pair all those things together or separately with other items in your closet for some effortless fall looks!

Friday Favorites | Life Lately Edition

Friday, July 15, 2016

I have been absent from the blog this week because we have been busy traveling to surprise friends for their birthday and seeing family!
My parents are coming into town today and we are spending the weekend at the lake with them and our really close family friends that came all the way from Kansas. We haven't seen them in a long time and I'm so exited to spend time with them!

Judah's new favorite thing is swimming! He is really starting to love the pool and it's the cutest thing. He splashes and laughs and just loves it! We swam at our friend, Liz's birthday party on Saturday and Judah loved floating with Uncle Jesse :)

Blake and I went on our first date without Judah earlier Saturday and we had our favorite, tacos! I love this handsome guy and have missed spending that special quality time with just him. It was so weird not having Judah there and we missed him so much but it was definitely needed!

We celebrated these two ladies both turning 22 this weekend. We love them dearly and they are Judah's favorite Aunts :)

In other news, Judah is SO close to crawling! How cute does he look?? He's growing up too fast and that's not a favorite but that little smirk on his face is :)

That's all my favorites for this week! I'm linking up with Andrea.

Whats Up Wednesday

Wednesday, June 29, 2016

It's Wednesday and I'm on day 2 of Camp Gladiator and I am worn out, y'all. I haven't worked out this hard like, ever. It's SO challenging but I am having fun with it! Any and all prayers for my soreness to go away are welcome. #help #icantwalk

This is how I feel today...

I'm linking up with Shay today for What's up Wednesday! Here's what we've been up to :)
P.S. Have y'all seen Shay's new site?? I LOVE it!! It looks great, lady!

What we're eating this week...
Monday Blake cooked chicken, rice and green peas for dinner. The simplest meal in the world but it's one of our favorites! Tonight is taco night!

This question makes me think I should start planning our meals better because I have no idea what we are having for the rest of the week!

What I'm reminiscing about...
6 months ago on Sunday/Monday I was in labor for 30+ hours and then finally had Judah! I cannot believe it's already been 6 months. Cue all the tears...

What I'm loving...
This is super random but I'm loving my wife Birkenstocks. I'm obsessed with them! I wear them all. the. time. They go with everything and are so comfy! Here's a few pics of me in them.

You can get them here.

What we've been up to...
Birthdays, lots of church events, family visits, all of our fav things! Weekend Recaps from this month are here, here, here, and here!

What I'm dreading...
Judah has to get his 6 month shots next week and I'm not looking forward to it :( I can't stand how sad he gets!!

What I'm working on...
My health/fitness! I'm trying really hard to make better food choices and implement Whole30 cooking when we are home. I'm doing Camp Gladiator every M/W/F at 5:30am to try and tone this post-baby body up! I've never had a problem with being fit and in-shape until I had Judah so it's been hard on me. I'm starting to feel comfortable in my new skin though!

What I'm excited about...
We have some family that has rented a cabin on Lake Travis for next month and I'm so excited for them to come visit! They haven't met Judah yet so I'm excited for that :)

What I'm watching/reading...
We are almost 100% caught up on Scandal and my heart is so torn of Olivia right now...girl is cray. Also my favorite show ever is back on and I'm so happy! I've loved Real Housewives of Orange County since the first season aired and I still love it and I'm still #TeamVicki

We've been watching lots of The Bachelorette, too! I love JoJo and I am #TeamJordan and also #TeamJordansHair

What I'm listening to...
I've been listening to a lot of podcasts lately! Lots from Elevation Church and The Village Church.

What I'm wearing...
Pre-pregnancy jeans, y'all. Like all of them, every pair. They fit again and I could cry from excitement.
This new scarf from Nordstrom Rack. I wore it twice last weekend...oops!
& workout clothes. All day, everyday.

What I'm doing this weekend...
It's 4th of July weekend and we have zero plans and I'm kind of sad about it :( Normally we would spend the day at Blake's Grandparents house in the pool or we would be hosting all our friends at our house and then go to the same firework show I've gone to my entire life...this year is different because we are away from all of that so my heart is kind of sad! I'm excited to make new memories here though! If you're from the Austin area let me know where to go for a good firework show :)

What I'm looking forward to next month...
We have birthday parties, baby showers, family visits and just enjoying summertime with our little baby!!

What else is new...
We have officially started a Disney Fund Jar. The Kelch's are planning on a Disney trip soon!! Disney is my favorite place in the whole world, y'all...I'm not kidding. I'm such a kid at heart and I still love all the Disney movies/princesses. Judah won't remember it at all but Blake and I will and we are so excited!

Also linking up with Jessi!

These snuggly guys on this Friday morning are my favorite!

I'm linking up with Andrea and Amanda for Friday Favorites today!

Whats Up Wednesday

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Y'all, life has been SO busy lately. We have had something going on every single night for weeks now so blogging has definitely been put on the back burner.

Blake is officially not working from home anymore (waaahhh insert cry face here) and I'm officially a stay at home mama to our sweet Judah! I'm trying to get a schedule together for our days and make time for blogging but some days, you just gotta cuddle your baby, ya know??

So  I'm linking up with Shay to share a little of what we have been up to!

What we're eating this week...
Monday was casserole night at our LifeGroup meeting and I made this "Cracked Out Chicken Casserole". It was so good! Tuesday we had chicken tostadas, and tonight we will probably have leftovers! Thursday I'm going to attempt to make pork chops (I'm not a big pork fan). Not sure about Friday!

What I'm reminiscing about...
Around this time last year I remember feeling really beat down about not being pregnant yet. Little did I know that a few weeks later we would find out that we we're expecting! Now I'm sitting on my couch with my baby boy in my lap, working on this blog post. God is SO good!

What I'm loving...
I have finally found a self tanner that I LOVE! I have to share it with y'all. Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sunless Tanning Mousse works wonders, y'all. I am pastey white and after one use I'm already SO tan. I put it on after I get out of the shower and it dries in 1 minute. I can immediately get dressed and it doesn't rub off on my clothes. I apply baby powder (lightly) in the creases of my arms and the back of my legs after applying the foam just to insure that the tan doesn't rub off in those areas or get splotchy. It also doesn't fade too much after you shower. Just reapply and it builds a really even and pretty tan! I can't get enough of it.

What we've been up to...
Y'all, we have been b u s y. Like I said above, we have something planned almost every night of the week. Lot's of fun things have been happening in the midst of our busyness though!

We have had a lot of family in and out this month! Family time is the best :) our little guy is SO loved!

This is what our faces looked like after buying a new bed. Don't let Blake's face fool you, he was more excited than I was.

Blake and I left Judah together for the first time over the weekend. We went to Kroger to pick up a few things to make my dad a dessert he wanted. This is a big deal for this mama that has bad separation anxiety from her baby!

We live about 25 minutes from a little town called Wimberley. It is the cutest little town with an adorable town square with a lot of great shopping spots! We had fun adventuring around this little Texas town! Even though Judah was not a fan of how hot it was that weekend! Welcome to Texas, little guy.

What I'm dreading...
Our church started LifeGroups 4 weeks ago and the last week for this session is next week. We are so bummed about it ending! Our group has decided we are all still going to try to meet a couple of times during the month and hangout with each other and our kiddos! We love Monday nights with our LifeGroup! & Judah loves to swing after we are done with Bible study :)

What I'm working on...
I'm officially a SAHM and most of my days look like this...
I love being home with my little man! Mama needs a schedule though. I have found a few ideas on Pinterest but I was wanting to see if any of you had any ideas on daily/weekly SAHM schedules! Any and all tips are welcome!

What I'm excited about...
Our family vacation this year! We are still deciding between two places. Both have lots of fun things to do and see, and we are excited about our first real vacation as a family of 3!

What I'm watching/reading...
We are still hooked on Scandal. That show has me all kinds of confused. One minutes I want Olivia to be with Fitz and the next I'm yelling at the TV because they're both being confusing. Gotta love Shonda, am I right?? I've also been watching lots of Southern Charm and RHOD. Being from Dallas I had high hopes for this Real Housewives season, but I'm kind of let down at the moment. Leanne drives me Bonkers.

I've been looking into a few books to start reading in May and I'm torn between these three.

Have any of you read these or have any other recommendations??

What I'm listening to...
Lots of Grady Spencer & The Work. They are a band from Ft. Worth and Blake and I use to go to church with the drummer! They have such a good sound and I literally listen to them all day long on repeat.

What I'm wearing...
There is a few things I have been obsessed with lately.

Old Navy's Pixie Pants. I have an addiction. I told Blake that I never want to wear jeans again and just have these in every color/print. They are SO comfy y'all.

Here's me with one of my favorite HS Seniors in the pink pair I have.
Here are the yellow printed pair I have. I'm obviously a huge fan of my chambray shirt, too. I wear it like...everyday. #oops

I got this adorable sweater/shirt from Old Navy as well and I love it. It says "More than all the stars in the sky." That's how much I love that little hunk :)
P.S. It was .94 cents on the clearance rack. ALWAYS check the clearance rack, ladies!! My pants are also Old Navy Active pants that I got for $6 on the clearance rack.

So basically, I've been wearing Old Navy's entire store. Whatev. I also got my first pair of LuLaRoe leggings and all the rumors are true. They. Are. Butter. So soft!

What I'm doing this weekend...
Blake is leading worship for our Kids Conference and I'm helping out with the checking in/registration side of things. We are so excited to see God work in the lives of lots of kiddos this weekend!

What I'm looking forward to next month...
Hopefully not being so busy! Also it's my first official Mothers Day as a mama and I'm pretty excited about that :)

What else is new...
This dude is just growing like a weed. He will be 4 months old in a few days and my mama heart can't take how big he is getting. Where has my tiny baby gone??
