Friday Favorites

Thursday, September 29, 2016

Thank you Jesus, it's Friday! We are going to take advantage of the seriously beautiful weather today and go for a walk, go to the park and spend as much time outside as possible! We've got a fun weekend ahead and I can't wait to tell y'all about it on Monday.

Let's get to those favorites...

ONE

I took this screenshot Monday morning and the weather has just gotten better all week. It's been in the 70's all day long and oh my goodness, I could just cry. My favorite time of the year is almost here!!

TWO

Following my first favorite, it's pumpkin spice season! I feel like this year I'm more obsessed with pumpkin spice e v e r y t h i n g than I was last year. I found this coffee at Target and I'm loving it mixed with a little bit of pumpkin spice creamer. It's no Starbucks PSL but it's close.

THREE

This happy little guy has been so clingy to mama lately and I'm loving it, y'all. If I leave the room or someone else tries to hold him he just wants me. He's been so independent lately so it has been so nice to feel needed!! He's my favorite.

FOUR

My goodies from my LuLaRoe party came in this week and I'm obsessed! I didn't love the way the Carly dress fit me, but I loved my Irma (I seriously want 100 more, it's SO soft!!) & hubs likes his Patrick Tee! I returned my Carly dress and I'll be getting something new and will do a little review on LuLaRoe for y'all!

FIVE

I just finished this book this week and started re-reading it already. It's my new favorite!! I also love the outfit the girl has on in the cover...so cute. haha!

Weekend Recap | New Blog Design/Name Edition

Monday, September 26, 2016

It is weird that I want to start off every Monday morning post with a big 'ol "Howdy!!"? Any Aggies out there that can relate? #breakawayforlife #gigem

Anyway, it's Monday and my cup of coffee needs a cup of coffee...yep, that's me.

Anyone notice anything different around here?? I have been working on this new blog design for a while and still have a few things left to fix but I'm loving the simplicity it has! I officially changed the name of the blog to Keeping Up With The Kelchs from Becoming The Kelchs due to the fact that, hello, we are already The Kelchs now! haha! I hope you guys like it and feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments to make it look better.

Now for that weekend recap...

We had such a good weekend and I didn't want it to end! I was too busy enjoying family time to remember to take a bunch of pictures :(

Friday my parents got into town late that evening and we stayed up talking with them for a good while. We love when family comes to see us! Saturday my Momma made us breakfast, we caught up on Grey's Anatomy (I don't like you, Shonda) and then went shopping for most of the day! Judah got spoiled, of course ;)
YUM!

We had mexican food for dinner and Judah was so focused on the tortillas I was cutting up for him...he get's his love for Mexican food honest :)

We ended our night watching the Aggies beat the Razorbacks! Whoop!

Sunday we had 3 services at church, a birthday party and our young adult ministry service that night. Little guy was worn out!

And to close the weekend here's a picture I snapped during service last night. I love that guy with the guitar :)

Linking up with Biana.

Friday Favorites

Friday, September 23, 2016

It's Friday and that in itself is a favorite! It's been a long week and I'm so ready for the weekend. My parents are coming to visit and I'm so excited! I feel like it's been so long since I've seen them (2 weeks maybe?? Haha!)

But anywho, here's some of my favs lately!

ONE
You guys, I feel like this is going to be my new favorite show. I'm loving it so far and it's kind of reminding me of Parenthood! (My all time favorite). The pilot episode was so good and I already can't wait for next week.

TWO
Judah finally got his first tooth and is feeling SO much better and is back to my sweet, snuggly little love bug. His snuggles are my favorite!

THREE
Why did I just now start listening to this podcast?? I have been missing out, y'all! Jamie Ivey lives in Austin and is married to Aaron Ivey, worship pastor at The Austin Stone. I recently listened to her episode with Aaron and as they talked about balancing ministry and life I felt like it were Blake and I talking. We can relate so much to them and I love how down to earth Jamie is and she is a joy to listen to! I literally have been listening to episode after episode all day long for a week...safe to say it's a new favorite. You can read her blog here!

FOUR
Yes, I'm already thinking about Christmas. No, you can't judge me. #itsmyfavorite
I'm loving this outfit inspiration for Christmas card photos this year...I NEED that skirt y'all. Help me out!!

FIVE
Our young adult ministry, Continuum, started back up this past Sunday and we are so excited about it. Young adults coming ready to hear the gospel and respond and grow in their walks with Christ is so refreshing! This is why we moved to Austin almost a year ago and seeing it grow from 10 people to almost 100 has been amazing. We are praying for big things for this semester and are expectant to see God move! Sunday nights at 7:30 are our fav :)  #thatguysingingdoesntlooktoobadeither #hotthusband

That all for this weeks favorites. I'll be back here Monday with a weekend recap and a little surprise. Stay tuned!!

Friday Favorites

Friday, September 16, 2016

Woohoo! It's Fri-YAY! I have a bunch of random favorites today and I'm posting them late because my little guy and I are battling colds and sleep has been precious. (Can I get an amen??)

ONE
I'm hosting my very first ONLINE LuLaRoe Pop-Up from now until Sunday. It's all online which means YOU can shop too!! I mean just look at some of the styles she is carrying right now...
Leggings (the softest ever!), baseball tee's, tunics and dresses OH MY! There are so many more styles to browse through and if you are interested in shopping click here and request to join her group! Comment sold on the styles you want and mention my name (Elisha Kelch) so I can get some kudos! I ordered this dress and I can't wait to wear it all Fall!
LuLaRoe is my favorite and I want it to be yours, too!!

TWO
Judah finally got his first tooth! It hasn't popped all the way through yet but it's getting there. He is just the cutest and that little tooth just makes him cuter!

THREE
I saw this and died laughing! This is Blake to a T! He's still
My favorite though :)

FOUR
These two making all kinds of noise at the piano are my favorite! I hope Judah loves music just like his dada!

FIVE
Judah Beau has a CURL!! I could scream from excitement. My hair is naturally super frizzy, afro, crazy curly and we were hoping Judah would get some of my hair genes! He may look just like his dada but hopefully he will have mama's hair :)

Don't forget to scroll back up to my first favorite and join Kelsey's LuLaRoe page! Don't forget to mention my name as well if you buy something :)

Have a great weekend, friends!

Weekend Recap

Monday, September 12, 2016

This weekend was fun, fun, fun and made me so excited for fall to really be here!! The cooler temps, football, friends, can it get any better??

My weekend started out early with a girls night! I did not know what to do with myself without Judah! It's always weird for me when I leave him for a few hours. Can you tell?? haha!

We saw Light Between the Oceans and we all cried. Then cried some more...and maybe a little more. It was such a good movie! Love these ladies!

Friday we ran errands and had my favorite for dinner. I love Chipotle and love my guy!
Our night ended like this...y'all...we are in trouble! #thecutestever

Saturday Blake had to leave early to go sing a few songs at the Republican National Convention here in Austin...how cool?? He acted like it was no big deal but we are all pretty proud of him around here :) Judah and I snuggled until he got back home and he showed up with breakfast and Starbucks for mama! It's the little things.
We decided to drive out to Wildseed Farms and go restock on our favorite salsas. They have the best homemade salsa, honey, jam, etc. It's such a pretty place and it was like 76 degree's outside. PTL! We had fun looking at all the plants we want to get when we have a house one day! :)
We had a few friends over to eat dinner/watch football/play games later that evening. Hosting people is my favorite thing and we don't get to as often as I'd like so I really enjoyed it! We all really enjoyed the food, too ;)

My cute co-hosts!!
#allthefood #chickfilatea #becauseDUH
I made this really yummy cake and we all loved it. I think I will share the recipe soon! It's SO easy!

Sunday these cuties matched in their chambray shirts at church :)
The guys napped and we went to Chuy's to celebrate our friend, Casey, buying his first house! Judah was so full from tortillas and rice and went right to sleep when we got home. Little burrito baby :)

That was our weekend! I hope y'all had as much fun as we did :)

Weekend Recap | Surprise Anniversary Trip Edition

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Blake and I celebrated 2 years of being married on Sunday and he surprised me with a little anniversary trip!
Sidenote: All glory to God for these past 2 years of marriage. He has been WAY too good to us and has taught us so much. These past 2 years have been fun, challenging, sweet, and have been 2 of the best years of my life. We are by no means perfect, but are sitting under a cloud of grace from our Father and each other and strive to please Him daily. Thank you Jesus for good, good, gifts.
So, Saturday Blake told me to pack a light bag for myself and Judah because he had a surprise planned for us. I obliged (obviously) and I was SO excited. If you follow me on snapchat (ElishaKelch) or if you know Blake, then you know he always spoils surprises and gives gifts early. I love to be surprised so I was shocked when he didn't give this surprise away! (He gave me my gifts early, a new Kendra Scott necklace and an LA Dodgers hat!)
We headed out Sunday after church and we ended up at the Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas! I had mentioned that I wanted to stay there sometime for a "special occasion" and Blake remembered. I was so excited! He booked the nicest room I have ever seen and I was swooning over all the windows and pretty views of Downtown Dallas. Oh, and the chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider (we don't drink) waiting on us when we got to our room!
#10pointsforBlake
Blake's grandparents watched Judah for us so we could have an evening to ourselves.
 I. Did. Not. Know. What. To. Do. With. Myself.

We had dinner plans but other than that we just got to rest. It was so nice to get to actually sit down with Blake and watch a movie with no interruptions and be able to take my time getting ready for dinner, not having to pack a diaper bag, etc.

We got ready and headed out to Hopdoddy Burger Bar for dinner. Love my handsome guy :)
The garlic parmesan truffle fries were SO good and so was the stout chocolate shake. YUM!!
We headed back to the hotel and got our comfy clothes on and decided we missed Judah too much so we threw on the complimentary slippers and went and got our baby!
Judah also turned 8 months old on Sunday so we joked that we were celebrating his 8 month birthday at the Omni...spoiled rotten!
We ordered room service, hello yummy cookies. #myweakness
& then we got some much needed sleep! Woke up in the prettiest hotel room(that view!!) and got ready for a day of grilling out and swimming with family!
Before heading out we had to stop by and take a picture with the BIG letters!
Our boy is getting so BIG and God has BIG plans for Blake and I in this next year(or 100 years) of marriage! So thankful for these guys and I love doing life with them!
