Happy Memorial Day, y'all! Normally we would be celebrating this holiday with family, grilling by the pool! We live hours away from our families this year though and it's so rainy and yucky outside here today, so the only grilling that will be done is in our oven...ha!!
We are having some friends over tonight to watch The Bachelorette and we were going to grill kebobs but now I'm just going to bake them instead :)
We are so thankful for those who have given their lives for our freedom. Don't forgot what this day is really about!
Now for a little weekend recap!
Friday
We started off our day with some sweet baby snuggles :)
When B got off work we headed to get some grocerys! We went to Trader Joes and I scored a lot of Whole30 items...
While B got two totally not Whole30 treats. Joe-Joes and Oreo cookie butter!
We are at Chuy's for dinner bc who wants to cook after grocery shopping? #notme
My cute dates :)
Saturday
We live about an hour away from the cute little Texas town, Fredericksburg! It's an old German town with lots of history and it's filled with winery's and pretty scenery! Such a fun getaway for a weekend if you're looking for that!!
We got up and got ready and headed to Fredericksburg!!
The cutest old buildings ever! I would totally live in this one...
Look at these two!! #allthehearteyes
Judah had to have a pic with mama too!!
On our way back home we stopped by Wildseed Farms! It's the largest working wildflower farm in the US! I'm talking fields and fields of wildflowers, y'all. So pretty!!
They also sell seeds and plants.
Just a happy boy and his dada!! #myheart
One more because they are just too cute!
Sunday
We did our normal church then lunch at home! I made a Whole30 chili and it was soooo good!
Then it was time for Sunday naps.
Then we had a movie night!
And finally we all fell asleep, not quite as hard as Judah though!
We hope you all have a great Memorial Day!!

Sounds like a great weekend! The weather was definitely yucky this morning in Austin as well, but right now it's beautiful! We've been to Fredericksburg a few times (and love it!), but I've never heard of Wildseed Farms. We will definitely need to check it out!
ReplyDeleteFredericksburg looks so pretty! I will definitely add it to my list of places to see if I ever find myself in Texas.

ReplyDeletePleased to know about your memorial day party. Couple of months ago, I arranged a weekend party with my friends at an excellent venue NYC. Decorated this venue by hiring one of reputed decorators and had a grand party.
