Weekend Recap | Surprise Edition

It's Monday but it's a good Monday because I'm at my Momma's house all week!! Blake gave me 2 surprises this weekend and making the trip to come see my Momma was one of them. I'll tell you more about the surprises in a bit. 

Friday was a fun day for Judah and I. I have been so nervous to take Judah somewhere alone (just me and him) and I'm not really sure why! I use to be a nanny to two very sweet twin girls and I took them places all the time and did just fine! Maybe it's because he's my baby? I don't know. I decided Friday that we were going to get out of the house! We got ready and I went shopping with my new favorite shopping buddy :) 

P.S. He's pretty cute! 

We went to two places and made a day of it! We had so much fun. Blake makes fun of me because I love Jazz/Standards and everytime I drive the car it's on this station. #noshame 

When Blake got off work we did some grocery shopping and then had some playtime with Judah Beau! 

After we put Judah down for bed I made some cupcakes completely from scratch! Lemon cupcakes with raspberry buttercream. So good, y'all! Very easy too! 

Blake had some work at the church to do Saturday so Judah and I hungout at the house all morning. 

B informed me that I would be getting a surprise. I'm clueless when it comes to surprises. It's bad. So I was so excited to see what he had planned! There was a knock on our door at about 11 and I answered it and I was my best friend, Liz!! I was shocked and I might have cried. I had told B on Thursday about how I was feeling kind of homesick and missing family/friends so this surprise was so sweet. 

When Blake got back we went and had an early dinner at The Cheesecake Factory! I love this place. Talk about YUM! 

I'm a totally terrible friend because guess who forgot to take a picture of Liz and I?? #me

She is such a sweet, loyal, and all around most genuine friend I've ever had. I love her to pieces. 

We finished out our day adventuring around ATX and with some ice cream from Lick!! If you're in Austin you have to try it! 

I also took a pic of my arm party going on because I never wear bracelets so me wearing one and a watch had to be documented.

Sunday was church and this guy was dressed in the cutest sailor outfit. I can't get enough of this boy. He is such a ham!! 

B informed me of my other surprise and told me to pack our bags because we could be spending the week at my moms! How do you cure homesickness? A week at your moms :) 

We got Starbucks drinks that were way too big because happy hour and hit the road! 

So I'm typing this post from my moms house and I'm one happy girl this Monday morning!!
