Happy Monday, friends! We had such a fun weekend around here and I hope you all did as well!
After Blake got off of work Friday we headed to the church. Our Married Life ministry was having a "Where's Waldo?" themed scavenger hunt and we were Waldo's :) we had so much fun!
Just a cute little Waldo family!
We finished out the night at Chipotle with some sweet friends and then came home, watched one episode of Scandal and went to bed!
We got the okay from Judah's pediatrician to start purrees so Saturday we decided to try out some avocado and the boy LOVED it!! Probably because we told him it was guacamole ;)
Those duck lips! #toomuchcuteness
Then Blake told me to get ready and didn't tell me what we were going to be doing all day so I was excited for some surprises!
First he took me to get a mani/pedi for Mother's Day. I haven't had a mani/pedi since before Judah was born so I was well over-do for one! I felt so spoiled because he took Judah with him and they hungout outside and got some sun while mama got pampered!
Then he took me to dinner at my favorite place, Torchys! #givemeallthequeso
We walked around the mall for a bit (another favorite of mine) and then came home and I started prepping lots of purrees for Judah! Sweet potatoes, carrots, avocados, and peas! Making baby food is so easy and I love knowing exactly what is in what I'm feeding him! There's also something special about making the food for your baby and seeing him love it when he eats it.
We ended our night with sweet baby snuggles :) #thebest
Sunday I was woken up by my baby laying on me and my hubs saying "Happy Mother's Day!!!". I'm totally not a morning person but this made me jump up with the biggest smile! We got ready and went to church and had a beautiful service celebrating Mothers.
Side note: If you have not heard the song "When I leave the room" by Natalie Grant go listen. Like now. Make sure you have tissues.
This was me last year on Mother's Day.
Hiding a tiny little baby bump and trying to hold back tears during church because I was going to be a mama and I just wanted to tell everyone but I was probably only 4 weeks along. We told our families later that afternoon though :)
And this is me this year on Mother's Day, holding my sweet baby!
I dreamed my whole life about being a mama and God graciously gifted me the sweetest little boy to one day call me mama! I'm so grateful! Being a mama is the best thing in the world.
Fun fact about me is that I love homemade, from the heart, gifts! So you can expect the heart explosion that happened when I got this on Mothers Day!
I had the best first Mother's Day ever! It was so special and I loved every second.
Happy belated Mother's Day to all you mama's out there! I hope your day was so special :)
Linking up with Biana.
It sounds like such a nice mothers day!! I love the idea of making your baby food homemade! It means so much to know there are not tons of processed ingredients in your baby's food!
