Weekend Recap

Monday, December 7, 2015

Happy Monday, friends! This is our last week that isn't super busy before Judah gets here! We have lots of friends and family coming to visit in the coming weeks and we are so excited for that! This month is flying by!

We had such a fun weekend! Friday Blake suggested going on a little Starbucks date so he could get a little change of scenery for work! Of course I agreed, because Starbucks! I love my peppermint hot chocolate, y'all.
I love this handsome guy!

I have been craving Chili's so bad lately! When Blake and I first got married we would go there at least once a week...we love Chili's! Blake surprised me and took me there for dinner Friday night! I was so happy, I could've cried. #pregnancyproblems
We ended the night with one of our favorite Christmas movies, Elf!
Saturday we had a retreat with our church! It was such a fun morning/afternoon being encouraged and having fun with our church family! We love serving at CLC :)
#bestdonutsever
They held the retreat at DKR Stadium, it was pretty cool even though we are most definitely not Longhorn fans! We got to take a tour of the stadium and of course we had to throw up our Gig Em!

Sunday we went to church and had a pretty restful afternoon before going on a hospital tour! Woohoo! haha. It was super informative and gave me a little bit more of a peace about everything. We came home after, ate dinner and had some homemade "sorbet" for dessert. Yum! (Blake just loves taking pics for the blog, can't you tell??)
I hope you all had a fun weekend as well! Tomorrow I'm linking up with some of my favorite bloggers and sharing our Christmas decorations. So excited for this post!

Have a great Monday, y'all!

Friday Favorites

Thursday, December 3, 2015

It's Friday and that means I'm linking up with  NarciAndrea, and Erika for some Friday Favorites!
A friend of Blake and I's sent us these baby pictures of us and we died laughing! I mean, Blake is a little cutie and I look like a hot mess! It's so fun to look back at these pictures of us as littles and imagine what our little Judah will look like. (Looking at old pictures is my favorite thing ever. I could do it for hours and not get bored!) Hopefully he gets his Daddy's good looks and not my crazy afro hair :)

So Blake and I were up way too late Wednesday night and I was scrolling through the guide on the TV and saw that Lizzie McGuire was one and I could've jumped for joy...except not really because I'm 9 months pregnant and that might not have ended well haha! We watched one episode and I was totally feeling like I was 7 years old again wishing that I was Lizzie! This show was my favorite! Gosh, the hairstyles and clothes were such throwbacks! Who ever told Lizzie that curling 3 pieces of your hair and leaving the rest straight was a good idea??

So I found this little scripture reading plan on Pinterest and I have so enjoyed it so far! This is a new favorite. I'm also following along with the She Reads Truth Advent Study as well, but this is a cool little extra to add in and would be great to do with your kiddos that are old enough. What are you doing this Christmas Season to remind yourself of the true reason for the season? I would love to hear about it!

I know I've mentioned this before, but it is my favorite thing that Blake gets to work from home right now! It has been such a blessing. I'm 9 months pregnant and could have this baby any day now! So it is so comforting to have him home and not 30 minutes away so that if something were to happen, he's right here with me, ready to go! I also know it will be a huge blessing having him home with Judah and I after he is born! God is so good :)

This little guy. Ugh, I love him to pieces already! I have this picture up on my vanity so every day when I'm getting ready, putting makeup on, etc. I see his sweet little face! It's my favorite. If you missed my bumpdate post from Wednesday scroll down to my previous post to read :)

That's all for this weeks favorites! We have a fun and restful weekend ahead of us! What are some of your plans this weekend??

Happy Friday, sweet friends!!

35 Weeks

Wednesday, December 2, 2015

How far along: 35 weeks & 4 days

This week, baby is the size of a: Coconut! Monday at our appointment he weighed 5lbs & 10oz! She also let us know that his birth weight will be around 7lbs 11oz. Big healthy boy! Look at those cheeks!! :)
Sleep: It has been pretty great this week! I think the naps I take during the day help.

Symptoms: Swelling hit me hard this past weekend! That's no fun. Also back pain. Other than that everything has been great!

Cravings: Milk & cookies...just call me Santa Clause.  Oh! & hot chocolate!

Belly Button in or out: Very out...haha!

Labor Signs: Still none! Little guy must be comfy :)

Best moment this week: Getting to see his sweet face! My doctor got really good pictures this time! When the first picture came up on the screen I was speechless! We hadn't seen him in probably 10 weeks and he wouldn't show us his face then so this was really the first time we got to see him since finding out the gender! He has grown so much and is so handsome already! I think he looks like his daddy, and his daddy thinks he looks like me! What do y'all think?? :)
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy! My emotions are at an all time high right now though, they're like a rollercoaster!

Miss anything? I'm really missing my family! It was harder leaving when we visited this time. I think it's because the next time we see them, we will be parents! It was very bittersweet! We can't wait for them to come at Christmas!

What you're looking forward to: Meeting our little guy! We are almost to the point to where he could make his grand entrance any day! We are getting super anxious.

Verse you're leaning on this week:
I'm getting more and more anxious to meet Judah, but with that being said, I'm super nervous about the whole birthing process. I'm trying to remind myself of this verse often! I'm just praying for a peace about it, feel free to join me in that :)
