27 Weeks

Wednesday, October 7, 2015

We are 27 weeks this week with our little man! He is as big as a bunch of bananas & such an active little guy! My favorite thing to do right now is lay down at the end of the day and just watch him move around! He is making such big movements now and is responding to our voices and light. Blake talks to him and he just kicks and kicks :)

We moved this past Monday and are getting all settled in at our new home in Austin! I love everything about it and I'm so anxious to get his nursery ready for him. Here's a few little sneak peeks at some of my favorite spots in my new kitchen :)

How far along? 27 weeks & 2 days

Sleep? I was having the hardest time sleeping last week! I would wake up around 4am and not go back to sleep until around 7am. It was miserable. I am not a nap advocate (at least not for adults), I hate taking naps! To me its a waste of my day and I a l w a y s wake up grumpy. But last week, I napped almost every day, by choice. Now that we are moved into our new place, I have been sleeping like a baby! I didn't wake up one time last night. Thank The Lord for rest :)

Symptoms? Lots of pain from my belly growing! Oh, and is nesting considered a "symptom" of pregnancy? If so, I've got it bad! Moving while 7 months pregnant has its pro's, like nesting and having almost all your boxes unpacked by day 2 :)

Cravings? I ran into some sweet girls from our old youth group before we moved and they asked me what I was craving, I jokingly said "water" but once I thought about it, it was true! The only thing I have consistently wanted throughout my pregnancy has been water, and lots of it! Blake will ask me what I want for dinner some nights and I'll just say water! Everyone assumes I'm craving something specific but I never really am. Just give me all the water!

Miss anything? Our family and friends. Moving away from home has a different feeling when you're married. I'm constantly comforted by the fact that I have Blake here with me. I moved away once before, on my own, to go to college. I was so homesick. I remember feeling alone for a long time. My walk with Christ grew tremendously throughout that time because I learned that He is always there when I feel alone, and can wrap me up in His arms and comfort me through scripture. Now that Blake and I are married and moved away together, I still have that comfort that God is right here with us through every step, and that has made this move so much easier. That doesn't mean missing our family and friends goes away, but it makes it bearable. Side Note: Family and friends, you are welcome anytime and we want you to visit us, like, a lot :)

Gender? Boy boy boy :)

Names? Judah Beau. Our friends and family have already started giving him nicknames! Beau-Beau, JB, Beau (Blake loves this because his whole family goes by their middle names. He wants Judah to as well, but we will see) and we call him Judah Bug & little stinker pretty often. They also like to flow his first and middle names together like it's one word, this one is pretty funny and I wish I had a clip of our friend Liz saying it to share with y'all, but you'll just have to use your imagination.

Best part of this last week? Getting moved and having my parents come with to help! I'm super close to my family and I couldn't imagine doing this move without them. I'm so thankful for my momma and daddy! I also love our new home. I can't wait until its all finished so I can share it with y'all!

What you're looking forward to: We have our first doctors appointment with our new OB next week and I'm so anxious to meet her! We also have our first baby shower this weekend and I can't wait for that :)

Verse you're leaning on this week:

We are experiencing so much change at one time and this verse is so comforting through it all. Our world around us is changing but Jesus is not! He is our only constant and I'm so thankful for that.

Y'all enjoy your Wednesday & have a great rest of your week!
