18 Weeks

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

Long time, no see, friends! Life has been crazy busy lately so that explains the lack of posts. But we are back with a little update on our sweet baby!

I am 18 weeks this week and baby is the size of a sweet potato! I feel little flutters and kicks almost everyday but they aren't strong enough for daddy to feel them on my tummy yet! We still don't know gender, but we now have an appointment set for that and are SO excited to find out if we are having a little boy or girl!

How far along? 18 weeks & 2 days!

Sleep? Still not sleeping through the night but hey, I expected that. Finding positions that are comfortable to sleep in are getting harder & harder thanks to my growing belly!

Symptoms? Emotions have been running like crazy. I'm thankful for my sweet husband for putting up & comforting me with my random outbursts of crying! He's really been the best through all of this. Also I got sick over the weekend and had a little scare with my hypoglycemia, so that wasn't fun. Also, had my first couple of Braxton Hicks contractions this morning, so not fun!

Cravings? Ketchup with everything. Oh, and lately, ice cream!

Miss anything? Does cooler weather count?? The highs for this week are all above 102 and that just makes me want to pack my things and head North! Im ready for fall.

Gender? We find out August 18th! Eeeek! It can't come soon enough!

Names? Everyone will also find out August 18th :)

What you're looking forward to: Getting to see our baby at our gender appointment! We haven't had a ultrasound since I was 8 weeks so it's going to be so cool getting to see how much he/she has grown!

Verse you're leaning on this week?

Psalm 92:4 really spoke to me during my quiet time yesterday. There are times when you can get caught up in feelings and emotions and forget to praise God for His works! He is creating this baby inside me and it is only by Him that Blake & I get the opportunity to be parents to our sweet little blessing. He is entrusting a soul to us to bring up and teach in His ways, and for that I will sing for joy!

Thank y'all & God Bless!
