38 Weeks

We are SO close to meeting our little guy and could not be more excited and ready! Life has been busy and being pregnant around Christmas time has made this last month fly by. I am enjoying every last kick and jab in my belly before he arrives because I know I will miss it. Loud music and daddy's voice is still what gets him kicking and he also hates it if anything is laying on my belly! That gets him kicking too. If you would join us in prayer for a safe and (selfishly) easy arrival for our little guy and momma we would so appreciate it. 

Here is a short little update :)

How far along: 38 weeks & 3 days

This week, baby is the size of a: Spaghetti squash! Big growing boy :)

Sleep: I have surprisingly been sleeping so well! I still get up at least twice in the night but other than that it's been great!

Symptoms: I still swell up bad if I'm on my feet for a long time, so that's no fun! 

Cravings: Still milk. Other than that nothing. I'm not even really hungry often anymore. Baby is taking up all my room :)

Labor signs: Contractions, no more BH, they are they real deal and they hurt!! They aren't frequent enough to head to the hospital...yet! I'm also at a 2.5 and our doctor told us today that he will be here within the next week! So exciting :)

Best moment this week: We have loved having our friends stay with us this week! Family is coming into town on Thursday and Christmas is Friday then my birthday is Saturday! It's an exciting week :)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but I'm not going to lie, I cry a lot! I'm a crier anyway, like I cry at the drop of a hat anyway so my hormones have just made that 100x worse. Praise The Lord for my patient husband :)

Miss anything? My feet not being swollen to the size of large potatoes and being able to sleep/get out of bed easily. It's such a struggle!!

Friday Favorites - Nursery Tour Edition

Happy Friday, y'all! I have been totally slacking on writing lately because life has been BUSY! Our little guy could be here any day now so we have been preparing for that and also resting up before he gets here!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, y'all! 

I don't know about y'all, but I did not want this weekend to end! We had family over all weekend long and we loved it! It was really the first time we have had anyone at our apartment and I never wanted it to end! (P.S. Mom & Dad, feel free to move here asap!!)

Friday we got ready for our family to arrive and also had a fun night with some of our Continuum family! There was bowling, arcade games, food and lots of fun! We had a great time. 

My parents got here late Friday night so Saturday morning we woke up and hung out around the house for a bit and then met up with my brother and sister-in-law at the mall! It was so good getting to see them and their sweet kiddos! They are the cutest. 

Of course we had to get some Starbucks on the way out! 

Fun Fact about me: I love the name Blake for a girl, funny how it turned out to be my husbands name! (Well, technically it's his middle name. He doesn't go by his first name even though I love it too!) We normally always tell people his name when they are taking our order because no one can ever say/spell my name right. So when I get my Starbucks cup with the name Blake on it, I kind of dream that it is my name...definitely weird, I know!

Sunday morning we went to church and I was so happy to see the Christmas decor up! It is so pretty!

Then we came home and I made some yummy taco soup (my fav!!), my brother & sister-in-law came over and had lunch with us and we watched some football, of course!!

My cute little niece was running around with my phone and I found cute selfies of her little ponytail on my phone after they left! #babyselfiesarethebest

Our family left later in the evening (bummer!) and then I wrapped some presents for Blake! Don't you just love when your nails match the wrapping paper?? :) #tistheseason

We ended our night relaxing on the couch before we have more company coming to stay today! 

A bunch of our friends from Dallas are coming into town today and we can't wait to see them!
